Antony asks the Health Secretary about Testing for those required to physically go in to work

Tuesday, 12 January, 2021

Many people in Burnley and Padiham are still going to work on a daily basis with those in manufacturing, engineering and construction required to be on site.

Antony asked the Health Secretary what those people need to do if they have to keep attending work and want access to a test.

Secretary of State Matt Hancock confirmed that by working with Burnley Council and the national testing programme we can make sure that everybody who has to go to work and wants a test has access to one.

You can book a test using the link below:

https://self-referral.test-for-coronavirus.service.gov.uk...

(It will ask if you have symptoms and if you click "no" it will ask a number of questions until it asks "why are you asking for a test?" and whether your local authority has asked you to get tested, at which point you should tick "yes" and an appointment will be made for you to be tested).
