After a difficult few months the owners of the Brun Lea Hotel, Tony Hussain and his partner Kay are looking forward to continuing their mission to restore the former Keirby Hotel to its past glory.
Significant investment has already been injected into the premises which is situated in the heart of the town centre, with a full deep clean of the iconic ballroom, a brand new reception area and upgrades to the bedrooms.
Many will remember the sprung dancefloor and the functions that have taken place over the years, from weddings to award ceremonies, and plans are in place to incorporate the history of the building into the new look with photographs dotted around the corridors.
Visiting the hotel Antony Higginbotham MP praised the work of the owners throughout the Coronavirus pandemic saying,
“Tony and Kay have done tremendously well, offering rooms to both NHS workers and those who need emergency accommodation during the past 3 months and for that they should be commended. What they are doing to revamp the hotel is great and they have my full support in getting the place up and running once again”.
Tony has been working closely with the authorities to renovate the building and their friendly and welcoming approach to guests is winning them good reviews on social media from guests.
The hotel is now back open for business.
