INVESTMENT

Regenerate Burnley and Padiham town centres to reduce the number of vacant shops, increase footfall and ensure there is a vibrant mix of retail and leisure. 

Our borough was always last on the list in Westminster. But we’re changing that. And getting our fair share of funding and investment.

  • I've lobbied hard and so far have been able to secure a total of £32 million of investment for Burnley and Padiham.
  • That's seeing us transform Newtown Mill into a state of the art University complex, realise the Turf2Town project which will create an economic corridor through Burnley's town centre, and install a bridge over Manchester Road train station to improve transport in and out of the borough.
  • After years of plans sitting on the shelf, we're now seeing diggers in the ground at Pioneer Place too - thanks to another £3.6 million of government funding secured to get it off the ground.

£2 Single Ticket Price Extended until next Year
