We need to spread opportunity to unleash the potential of Burnley and Padiham. And that’s why I'm working to turn our borough into a North West leader in technology education.

  • Our community became great on cutting edge technology. We need to restore this focus. And make Burnley an Educational Improvement Zone.
  • Burnley College has taken leaps forward by becoming part of a new Institute of Technology. One of only 12 nationally.
  • UCLan is expanding higher education in the borough, offering thousands more places to feed in skills to the new National Cyber Force in the Ribble Valley.

Further Expansion at Burnley College given Green Light.

Burnley College has been given the green light to expand its education campus on Princess Way with a new 20,450 sq ft industrial hub and three educational buildings on six acres of land along the River Calder.
