MAKING OUR STREETS SAFER

POLICE

I'm continuing to crack-down on crime and anti-social behaviour to make our streets safer.

I'm backing our police. Giving them the powers and resources they need to keep us safe. And toughening up the law so that sentences fit the crime.

  • Working with our Police and Crime Commissioner I'm making sure we get our fair share of the new 20,000 front line police officers being recruited. Lancashire has secured over 600 so far. And I'm pushing for more.
  • I've consistently voted for tougher action against the worst criminals by increasing the time spent behind bars.
  • And regularly go out with the police on drug raids, to identify the tools they need to clean up our streets and combat ASB.
