Antony Higginbotham MP attended the Hapton bonfire, organised by Hapton Parish Council in a community get together.
With a bonfire assembled on Hapton Rec and an impressive firework display for all those who attended, Antony was given the privilege of lighting the fire to kick off the celebration.
Also in attendance was local County Councillor Alan Hosker, friends and families from Hapton village and representatives from Hapton Parish Council who pulled out all the stops to make the night one to remember.
Commenting Antony said:
It was brilliant to see the community come together in Hapton for a bonfire and firework display at the Hapton Rec.
I want to say a huge thank you to the Hapton Parish Council for organising this event. It was superb!
And thank you for giving me the honour of lighting the fire.
