I’m hoping soon to see the end of the long running saga taking place in Westminster around the Government’s plan to end illegal immigration. Namely by processing claims in a third country; the Rwanda Plan.

Local Member of Parliament Antony Higginbotham visited Padiham Primary School this week as part of his School Tour, giving pupils the opportunity to quiz him on his role as an MP.

Easter Recess Update

The last couple of weeks Parliament has been on the Easter recess, giving me an opportunity to swap the weekly commute for a bit more time up here at home. That’s always valuable to me, because one of the things I love most in this role is getting out and about and speaking to people.  

Expanding Childcare to Working Parents

As I’ve been around Burnley and Padiham, on the doorsteps, at my advice surgeries or using more ‘modern’ tools like my Facebook Live Q&As; working parents have told me of the difficulties faced with childcare.
