This week in Parliament we passed the Queen’s Speech, which sets out the objectives that the Government has over the course of the Parliament and the bills it intends to introduce. And with Brexit now almost delivered (only a week to go!) it is important that we set the scene early on.

Antony Higginbotham MP welcomes £68.6m Government investment in local schools

New local MP Antony Higginbotham has welcomed a £68.6m Government investment in schools across Burnley – the largest funding boost in a decade, levelling up per pupil funding to ensure that all schools have the right investment to deliver an outstanding education in Burnley and Padiham.

Antony Higginbotham meets Health Secretary Matt Hancock

Yesterday Antony Higginbotham MP met with the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Matt Hancock MP. 

During the meeting Antony raised the improvements needed to NHS provision in Burnley and Padiham.

Antony Higginbotham returned as MP for Burnley

Antony Higginbotham has been returned as the Member of Parliament for Burnley in this year's General Election. 

The result is the first time in 109 years that a Conservative has won in Burnley, giving a clear message that the town wants change. 

Antony set's out the choice in this election

The choice in this election is clear. It is a choice between me as your representative in Westminster, who will finally follow-through on the decision we took in 2016, or a vote for Labour - more indecision and inaction.
